Pacific Crest Trail
One of the major stopping points for Pacific Crest Trail hikers, Wrightwood always offers a warm welcome. One of the major trailheads is located on Highway 2 near Inspiration Point, though you can access it through Blue Ridge Trail, Acorn Trail and other locations throughout the mountain. In its entirety, the trail runs 2,600 miles from Mexico to Canada, drawing hikers from around the world. Mountain Hardware sells a nice selection of hiking supplies, and the Village Grind coffee shop honors PCT hikers with their portrait on the wall. Many hikers ship important supplies and goods from the Wrightwood Post Office, located on Highway 2. Wrightwood’s busiest season for the hikers is through the month of April.
