Bald Eagle Counts

Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area, located about 30 minutes from Wrightwood village on Highway 138 (east), often holds Bald Eagle Counts sponsored by the state parks department. Bald eagles aren't difficult to miss — and if you help with the count, you can spend the rest of the day at the lake for free.
